HVN Profile
HVN Profile is a volume-based custom indicator for ATAS by ProfitPro.
Key Features
HVN Profile automatically identifies High Volume Nodes — price zones where the most trading activity occurred within a configurable time period — and extends them forward as support/resistance reference levels until price revisits them. Zones dynamically close when touched, with alerts and smoothing factors.
How It Works
The indicator divides chart history into time-based periods (1 min to Weekly) and builds a volume profile for each. It then identifies price zones with the highest volume concentration, clusters nearby levels together, and extends levels forward from each zone. A POC line marks the single highest-volume price within each cluster. When price returns to touch a zone, it closes automatically and sends an alert.

Users can adjust:
- Profile timeframe (1 min to Weekly)
- Profile histogram width
- HVN threshold percentage
- Cluster sensitivity, minimum cluster size, and gap tolerance between clusters
- Smoothing passes for plateau detection
- Touch grace bars
- POC extension toggle
- Live profile transparency
- All colors and opacities independently
- Max bars back for performance
- Alert on HVN zone touch
Use Cases
Intraday analysis — set the timeframe to 30 minutes to identify key intraday high-volume zones and use them as reference levels for session structure analysis.
Swing analysis — use the Daily timeframe to map overnight session HVNs as reference levels for the following session.
Level tracking — the till-touch extension keeps levels visible until they are actually tested, making it easy to spot untouched zones that remain as active reference levels.
