Volume Timer

Key Feature

The Volume Timer provides a real-time countdown of the remaining volume before a volume-based candle closes, so order flow traders can prepare for the close of a bar instead of reacting to it. It also features dynamic color changes and customizable sound alerts that trigger right before the candle finishes.

How It Works

On a volume chart — where a new candle forms after a set number of contracts are traded — the indicator tracks the current traded volume in real time. It continuously calculates the difference between the chart's volume setting and the current volume, displaying the exact remaining volume directly on the screen. When the remaining volume hits a user-defined threshold, it changes color and/or triggers an alert to warn the trader that the bar is about to close.

Example
